Overview

On the final day, families will learn about a wonderful gift Jesus has given to each of his disciples, the gift of the Holy Spirit. Just as a wedding ring shows that a husband and wife belong to each other, having the Holy Spirit shows that we belong to Jesus. On Day 1 families learned about a task given to all of humanity, to subdue the earth and make it fruitful. On Day 7 we learned about the greater purpose that we exist for, the magnification of God's Glory. Finally, on Day 8, families will read about "The Great Commission," an incredible mission that Jesus gave to his church in order to magnify his Glory. The Great Commission is a mission of love, where we go into all the world to proclaim the Gospel. As mentioned on Day 7, marriage is a very beautiful symbol of Christ and the Church, however it is temporal and does not continue in Heaven, however the Great Commission is an urgent mission to rescue lost sinners, and both the married and single person can accomplish the Great Commission in their own unique way.
